I have absolutely no information about Tangent or the origins of this presumably first album on Mindtrick records, but it all sounds pretty good and interesting. Starting in a slightly glitchy, melodic and gentle electronic manner, “1 mk2” evolves slowly towards more noisy territory, ending in a rather convicing kind of downtempo, headnod-inducing kind of gritty noise. The overall feeling of the album is resolutely dark, quite melancholic, but has some powerful moments, where it gets the most convincing. Really nice and asking for repeat listenings.
