We have reached nr. 13 in Indie Rock Mag’s year list of 2013!
“Out of nowhere, the Dutch duo set the bar high on this first album of dark IDM and high voltage which implosive post-industrial beat making earthquakes and other textured analog tablecloths evoke more between light and melodic incursions, tectonics cosmogonic an Access to Arakasa. Striking.”
Tangent was asked to make a special Podcast for the SeekSickSound blog!
Just after the release of their first album (released on Mindtrick Records – chronicled here), the duo do us the honor of sharing an exclusive podcast. Mixed and mastered by their care, they took tracks from their LP, as well as some new (joy). Structure and intelligent evolution are present here, and it is the least we can say. It offers heavy rhythmic and ambient music, sometimes with glitches, sometimes uncertain, giving free rein to the imagination drawn in any decor. In a word: beautiful.

Tangent (aka Robbert Kok and Ralph van Reijendam) dissect dust, grit and rust on this exclusive igloomag.com mix. Broken up by random clicks and electronic bits—a world devoid of organization, but filled with star stuff and scattered sparks of light—has Tangent rolling through an industrialized haze. Take a step into uninhabited spaces, where time and energy melt into fragments of chaos and calm. Scorched rhythms are shredded and dismantled until all that is left is a universe packed with the unknown.
